This place just opened up, we saw the add on CBS Philly so we went in to check it out. We started with the table side guacamole, which is one of their signature selling points, and it was pretty cool. I ordered the Camarones Escondidos for my entrée, which was recommended to me by our server. To be honest, I was like how good can it be? It's primarily chicken. Boy was I wrong! I could try 1000 times and not make chicken cooked this perfectly, let alone smother it with an amazing chipotle wine sauce, and the shrimp was just a cherry on top. I did not order any drinks, but one of the women we were with ordered a margarita and she loved it. The limes are juiced fresh on the spot. Definitely recommend it and will definitely be going back!

Too damn salty.. Typical Americanized Mexican..service was a bit on the slow side but the ambiance was nice. Wouldn't go back.

We sat at the bar for happy hour and ate the pork and fish tacos, they were very tasty! We had multiple margaritas and glasses of wine. Service was so good and everything was going so well that we had dinner at the bar too. Torta and enchiladas with mole. Both were very good. For dessert we had the warm brownie which was out of control delicious! Give this place a try!

Excellent food but the service was so slow (with nobody even here) I couldn't give it any higher than a 3. Go to Cheesecake Factory!!!

Excellent food and excellent service. If you go here and don't get the Mexican Apple Pie for desert, you've wasted a trip.

Went there for Dinner, and it was just "ok" and barely. At least the manager was highly attentive, though didn't rip into the kitchen like she should have.

Service was great. Salad with spicy shrimps was fresh and very good. Taco's with shredded short ribs was very skimpy for $12.95. Overall I would try it again, but would order something a little more filling than 2 very small taco's.

According to our server, Eric, this restaurant opened just about a week ago. They are already running the restaurant like it's been open for forever! Fantastic service, friendly people and their food is great! The meal comes with complementary tortilla chips that were thinner than usual and warm! So tasty! The chips were served with two dips - a spicy bean based dip and a tomato based FIP. Both were delicious! I had the chicken tacos and they were delicious as well. I will definitely be back! A great new find at King of Prussia mall!

We decided to get a snack and we liked the menu. We ended up having lunch and everything was so good. Our waitress was very attentive and made our experience great. The Flan is outstanding. Will definitely go back and bring some friends too.

Service was great. Eric, our waiter, bordered on too friendly. Our guac for two arrived the same time as our meal so on his own, he struck it from the bill. Delicious.

Awesome! Above and beyond our expectations. Our server Halina was very knowledgeable, and attentive. Even though it was a super busy Saturday night she went above and beyond by greeting us to let us know she would be with us shortly. She didn't seem rushed or annoyed, and had great menu suggestions. A+++++! Great food, servers, and experience. We will be back soon, and Halina rocks!

If you want great atmosphere, but poor service, small portions, and expensive Mexican food then this is your place. Not happy at all will NOT go back!

Service was very slow which is probably why the entrees came out lukewarm. I ordered fajitas and they were not served sizzling. The food did not taste fresh. If you want good Mexican food, try Uncle Julio's at the Plymouth Meeting mall.

We LOVE this place. Since moving to the King of Prussia area from Texas last year, we have not found even half-decent or honestly edible Mexican food in the area. Then Cantina Laredo opened. It is authentic, has a great atmosphere, and has the only real margaritas to be found in the area. My only complaint is the price, but I understand it is supposed to be a more upscale environment. However, come before 6:30 on Monday-Friday and they have really great happy hour deals in the bar. It is humorous to me that every time I order something, the waitresses have to explain what it is since so many people in the area have no clue what real Mexican food is and send things back. My favorite dishes are: tacos de pollo, the mango mole chicken, and the mole enchiladas. Since this is a restaurant based out of Dallas, we believed we could trust the quality of the Mexican food and we have not been disappointed.

Good food, bad service. We were seated quickly and the food was good. But our waitress was probably one of the worst we ever had anywhere. It took her a good 15 to 20 minutes to come to our table after we were seated even though she passed by our table several times. My wife explained to her about her food allergies and needed gluten free. But when her fajitas were brought out the tortilla shells were flour and not corn which is what you need for gluten free. When we questioned her about it she had no idea what we were talking about. She said she had to talk to a manager about it. Which took another 15 minutes. He told her they were flour tortillas. You would have thought they would have corrected the problem but they didn't. When we were done it took forever to get take out containers for our leftovers and then I had to ask for our bill three times before she brought it to us. We will not eat here again.

We made reservations for 2 at 8pm. We arrived on time and the hostess brushed us off and continued to seat numerous other parties before I walked up to the front desk and asked a different host about our wait time, she took us to our table right away. Our waiter was nice , took forever to get chips and salsa, but it was defiantly one of the highlights of the meal . The drinks were horrible , returned my mojito only to get a bad margarita . This is a Mexican food place ,how can they not make good margaritas ?!?! The steak was very flavorful but I ordered medium-well and half of it was rare . Great portion sizes . Would not return .

Food was decent. Service was very slow. Took 10 minutes to get water when we first sat down. They need to hire more wait staff.

First time to this location and it's just what I expected, same awesome food, guacamole is just like I remember, had the carnitas with the chipotle wine sauce... Amazing! We had the tres leches dessert, smooth and refreshing... Have the cabo flip. 1=tipsy

I'm giving this place 2 stars because I found the food very salty. The sauces were very salty, the beans and chicken that I had ordered. My mom enjoyed the salmon and asparagus. I ordered fajita tacos and my husband had eggs and steak. He found his steak very salty as well. On the upside all the ingredients were very fresh. My husband enjoyed the meat but my chicken was too dry. Overall great ambiance and service.

The food was great, but the service was terrible. We were the only people at the bar yet the bartender managed to barely check in on us. She explained that she was busy watching the game. We ordered a bottle of wine after each having a glass. She set it down and asked if we wanted her to open it. No, we simply have empty glasses and want to stare at a bottle. Get better service because the food is great but only half of the experience.

We dined here this evening for an early dinner (5:45 on a Friday). There was no wait, but they do accept reservations, which is always appreciated. We were greeted with a smile and immediately seated. The place was clean and inviting, with pleasant decor. Our server was excellent. She was attentive and had a sense of humor, and gave us various suggestions upon request (I love all Mexican food, which makes it difficult to decide sometimes). There are a good number of amazing dishes to choose from, but not so many that it's overwhelming. We settled on the carnitas tacos and lump crabmeat enchiladas for our entrées, and shared the ahi tuna tacos as an appetizer. Everything was delicious, including the complimentary chips accompanied by two types of salsa (with free refills). My husband's meal came with rice and beans, but since he doesn't like beans, they held the beans and gave him extra rice. I also requested an extra veggie in my enchilada, which they happily accommodated. The temperature of everything was perfect, and the portions were generous but not obnoxious. There were two minor things I wasn't thrilled about. First, the guacamole on the appetizer. The texture was great but it was bland. Second, my husband got a mojito. I tried it and we both agree that it was very fresh and tasty (he was impressed), but it's served in a thin, tall Pilsner glass with a straw, which was rather awkward to drink. Aside from that, I feel like it's overpriced for Mexican food; however, the service and quality were above average overall, and you do get decent value. I recommend giving this spot a try, for sure, and would love to return in the future!

Cantina Laredo was a great place to catch up with old co-workers! Two of my co-workers had been there before and enjoyed their experiences. For a drink, I ordered the Blood Orange Sangria, which was fine. Perfectly acceptable. We started with the Ahi Tuna Tacos, which came recommended both from our server and one of my co-workers. They were tasty little things, for sure. A nice way to start the meal. After some delicious and addictive chips & salsa (the chips were light, crispy, and salty... perfect!) I finally decided on my entree. I ordered the Camarones Escondidos (chicken breast stuffed with shrimp, topped with sautéed spinach and chipotle-wine sauce), which our server said was a staff favorite. I was really happy with my selection, and brought half of it home for lunch. I loved that it came with some grilled zucchini instead of beans (nothing against beans, but it was a nice change of pace.) The chicken was grilled nicely and the chipotle wine sauce added a lot of nice, rich flavor. My only complaint would be that all of the fillings (shrimp, spinach, and some peppers) were overtaken by the sauce. Somehow, we managed to find enough room to try dessert, which was fantastic. The Mexican Apple Pie was the perfect dessert to share for 4 people. The brandy brown butter on the hot skillet turns into this delicious caramelized goop and it's great. I wish I could remember our server's name, because I would love to mention how great he was. For one thing, he REALLY knew the menu. He spent about 5 minutes giving those of us who had not been there before a detailed description of some of the signature/favorite dishes, noting flavor profiles, possible substitutions, and his recommendations. He was honest and spoke highly of the food, overall in a way that was genuine and didn't seem to be coming from management (or he was a good actor.)

Big mall restaurant, tastefully decorated, very modern looking. We went there for lunch on a weekday, and the experience was very subpar as a whole. The service was the highlight, it was good and efficient. The food and beverages were not good, except for the chips, which were freshly made and tasty. The margaritas were rather tasteless, and the tequila didn't taste of quality. I looked over at the bar and saw someone making a huge tub of what looked like margarita mix base, you know, the lime juice, except that she was adding something clear from the soda tap to the mix. Yeah, you guessed it, watered down drinks. The salsa with the chips came in two flavors, bland and spicy. Very runny and thin. My chicken enchilada with mole sauce, rice and beans was bland. The mole texture was very thick and it was a strange rendition of mole. Just rather off. The fish special had some fairly cool cilantro rice, but it was a bit dry. Will not be back here.

My husband and I celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary here :) We had a wonderful server, Ryan, she was friendly and attentive. We started out with margaritas and table side guacamole. Both were excellent and their house salsa was great too. After eating cheesesteaks in the city, I was in the mood for something delicious but not heavy. I went for the special: grilled salmon with chimichuri sauce, cilantro lime rice, and subbed zucchini for the asparagus. It hit the spot! The salmon was cooked perfectly and seasoned nicely. I ate every bite :) My husband ordered the Carne Asada with the shrimp stuffed chili relleno and his plate was clean as well! We were surprised by a complimentary dessert to congratulate us on our anniversary :) We will definitely return when we are in the city again.

Just celebrated my dads birthday here. Excellent food! I started off with the ahi tuna tacos, fresh and flavorful. My dad even liked them, and he's never been a fan of raw seafood like I am. Next up, the fish of the day, grilled salmon with asparagus and rice. Some amazing flavor packed into this one, salty and a bit of a kick. Delicious! Finally, the apple pie and cinnamon ice cream desert, which comes out frying on a skillet like fajitas. Everything was sooo good, and I'll definitely be coming back. My only complaint was the light. During the day, the sun reflects like crazy off of the container store across the street, it can be blinding. I'd suggest for the business to put up some blinds. Other than that, great service and great food!

Was quite happy to see a new Mexican restaurant open in the area and went with the family on a Friday night. I made reservations thru Open Table and had no problem getting a reservation at the last minute. You'll find this restaurant in the upper level of The Court of King of Prussia Mall across from California Pizza Kitchen. The restaurant is very open and thus can tend to be a little loud. The decor was modern and slightly upscale. There is a bar area in addition to the dining area. We had a great waitress who offered suggestions and answered all of the questions we had about the menu. She was unsure if they had certain drinks like chocolate milk for the kids, but she quickly found out for us (the answer is yes by the way). She was attentive to us throughout our meal. You are given complimentary chips and two types of salsa, one of which has a little heat to it. The corn chips were thin and slightly warm. As an appetizer, we got the table-side made guacamole and the thin chips made it a little difficult to scoop the guacamole onto them. You have the option of getting your guacamole mild or hot or somewhere in between. Unlike another Mexican restaurant in the area, there is no Tips jar on the rolling cart used to make the guacamole. For dinner, my wife had the chicken tacos and I went with the mole chicken enchiladas. Both meals were very good. My wife's tacos had a little heat to them and my mole sauce was sweet with a slight kick to it. My wife liked her alcoholic drink to wash the dinner down with, but for me, my drink was too strong. There is a kids menu available with more traditional items like chicken fingers and fried or grilled cheese, but there are also some Mexican meals on there as well like chicken quesadilla. For dessert, I had some Mexican coffee and their mango tres leches cake, also very good. All in all, we were very happy with our dinner at Cantina Laredo. It is a bit on the pricier side and you should expect dinner to be in the $20-25 per person range without alcoholic drinks. We will definitely be back, although I will pass on the drinks next time.

We did a work happy hour at Cantina Laredo, and overall, it was really fun. The restaurant worked with us to give us a group special, which was great. We got a table near the window in the huge dining room to ourselves. Even though the drink specials aren't bad, we ended up going with pitchers of the blood orange sangria, which is delicious. Aside from the complimentary smoky salsa and chips, we got the tuna tacos and two flatbreads to share. The pork and pineapple flatbread was so good with a little spicy kick to it. I've never had a full meal here, but the specials are great and we've been back multiple times to enjoy them!

Clean, with modern styling, the Cantina looks great and has a nice, lively atmosphere (on a Wednesday, no less). Our hostess and server were friendly and helpful, too. While we didn't order guac, we noticed it being mixed table-side, which is fun, I guess. That said, the food was pretty bland. It seems like they kept the trend going with modern-style Mexican, focusing on healthy, simple ingredients. This method means great salsa and guacamole, but lackluster main dishes. Chicken tacos were on corn tortillas (healthy, but tasteless), and the chicken looked like typical "chain restaurant" breasts - clearly frozen, thawed, heated in a microwave with grill lines practically drawn on with a Sharpie. Also, the beans portion of the rice and beans side had a pretty obvious skin to it, which makes me assume it was plated and left to sit while the tacos were warmed to serving temperature - not ideal, and I found myself regretting not going with CPK (California Pizza Kitchen, across the hall in the KOP Mall). I would totally recommend the Cantina for a happy hour (especially after seeing their generous HH specials), but the food was a little too expensive for the small, dull portions to me.

My husband and I stopped in with our twins for an early dinner. There was no wait, which was nice, but we also noted they accept reservations, which I made for a future meal with a girl friend. I have to give two thumbs up for their house margarita. So often the house margarita is code word for "we've put no tequial n this and it's going to taste like pure triple sec," but the Cantina Laredo house marg was delicious- the perfect blend of tequila, lime and fixings! The food is, in comparison to other Mexican restaurants, over priced, but our meals were good. The menu has unique offerings like enchiladas with avocado and spinach and other combos that aren't on your typical Mexican Menu. I wouldn't make this my go-to Mexican place because of the cost (and the tons of offerings in Norristown), but I wouldn't hesitate to stop in again- for dinner or just a marg.

Clean with lively, friendly staff. Special call out to the staff who make your table side guac. Honestly, however, the food is bland. The table side guac wasn't that special and I love guac and avocado. Menu a bit small. If you need food in KOP, this is about as good as it gets.

Old fashioned chips and (red) salsa brings back fond memories of Casa Maria and Zocalo. I have only had tacos and dessert at the bar here, so I barely qualify for this review. Service is always friendly and it is not Laredo's fault that the Eagles lost both times I watched games here (I guess). But, I don't drink and, other than being a nice bar in the mall, I have a hard time seeing much here that would get this place more than 3 stars.

This place had some pros but also some cons. The good here includes the food! The chips are delicious - super thin and still warm. The chips alone are tasty but the salsas make them even better. Love love love the tomatillo salsa. It is flavorful with just the right amount of heat. The table side guacamole is certainly fresh and I love that it's made right by the table. However I think the Guac at Plaza Azteca in Plymouth Meeting is still unbeatable. Now for the entrees. I ordered the chicken mole enchiladas. The mole was delicious and so flavorful. I love the mix of sweete and spicy. The enchiladas themselves could have been more meaty or larger. The entree came wih sautéed zucchini which was yummy. It also had an orange colored rice pilaf which was quite bland. My mom got the enchiladas de congrejo. The lump crab here was plentiful and so tasty. I loved the sauce on the enchiladas too - creamy but spicy. This also came with zuchinni but a different rice dish. It was green in color and tasted more of lime and cilantro. My mom didn't like it but I did and she enjoyed my rice so we just traded. My dad got the torta with pork goat cheese fried egg and apricot preserves. This was awesome. What a mix of ingredients! He thought there was too much apricot but I thought it was just right. This came with fries topped with fried jalepeno and onion. The fries weren't anyhing out of the world but the peppers and onions were a tasty touch. As far as drinks, two of us got house margaritas. They are a bit small for the price and in comparison to what you get at other places. However they do not skimp on the tequila. They were yummy drinks! Desserts looked delicious, especially the apple pie al a mode with cinnamon ice cream! But we were just too full. And now for the cons... The first con is the price. The prices aren't bad but are higher than other comparable mexican restaurants in the area. The serving sizes here are also considerably smaller. The service as a whole is not great to say the least. I know this is a new place and there will still be some kinks to work out but this was more than that. We (my parents and I) went on a Saturday evening at 7. First we had a reservation through open table which the hostess seemed completely puzzled by and asked us to step aside for a minute. For ten minutes she proceeded to seat walkins and seemed to have forgotten us. I then went up to ask how much longer it would be. She sat us immediately after that. We promptly received chips and two salsas whose ingredients and flavors were well explained. It was just five minutes before our waiter greeted us and took our drink orders. Each person got a bar drink and water. The bar drinks quickly came from a different server but our waiter didn't return for ten minutes, without the water! We reminded him and he returned another five minutes later with the waters. We placed our orders then including table side guacamole. Food came at a good pace, though two of the orders weren't very hot, room temp at best. We weren't concerned about the food temps but everyone needed water refills. The waiter passed by several times but never making eye contact or acknowledging the table to see how everything came out. In the middle of the meal a bus boy passing with an overfilled tray spilled the entire tray of dirty dishes right next to us. The plates thank god narrowly missed my fathers head. However there was sour cream all over his jacket. The bus boy was embarrassed and apologized profusely. It was certainly an accident but just not handled well management wise. The manager gave my dad his card and said to have the jacket cleaned and return the receipt. This would require driving twenty minutes out of the way to get our money back, probably breaking even in the end. All three of us had to stand and move the table over so that the floor could be cleaned. My dad also had to switch seats. This is all occurring in the middle of the dinner meaning our food is getting colder and not to mention we are surrounded by 5 servers and bussesr trying to clean. Not the most private dinner occasion. We were all disturbed by the situation but only my fathers entree was removed from the bill - not even his drink. Furthermore, no one asked my mother and I if we were ok because our jackets were fine. There was glass and pieces of plates on top of my moms foot! This was the point that he waiter finally returned. Go figure! But again it took another five minutes to bring a pitched to fill our waters. All in all. It wasn't a bad evening . Would I return? Not right away. Maybe if I'm in KOP and really craving Mexican. Otherwise, I think there are better Mexican options in the area.

This is our first time in Cantina Laredo. My wife is usually very skeptical when we go out to a restaurant for the first time and not knowing how the food is. Anyone we know had not been to this restaurant and taking our chances. We were a party of 5 with 1 kid. The restaurant look upscale and nice decor. Very dim lit and spaciously seating set. The regular Mexican fare of Chips and Salsa was good..the salsa was fresh..one of the salsa was very spicy and reminded of the Indian spicy curry. The food came in at a reasonable time to wait. We had gone for the vegetarian version of the Fajita and my wife too the Guac Enchiladas (Enchiladas De Avacado). We were impressed with both the food item. The Fajitas did not come real sizzling but was hot enough. What awed me was that they served the Sour Cream and Guacamole on a strip of banana leaf. The Tortillas reminded of a lite version of the Malaysian Paratha except it was not flaky. The pinto beans and the rice accompanying the food was good and not bland. My wife's enchiladas had some good slice of Guacamole and mushroom rolled in the tortillas tomatillo sauce with a good sauteed spinach bed. The veg that came with the Fajitas and the Enchiladas were fresh and good taste. The other orders from our groups were also has good feedback. My nephew had the chicken Taco and he finished all his taco with no leftovers which was awesome compared to his eating rate! The Desserts is the reason why the 4 star - if not would have given a 3 star. We had the Mexican Flan and what a taste. I would go again just for their desserts again. The had other items in the dessert like the hot Mexican Apple Pie with ice cream, a good Brownie block with ice cream on a hot skillet, the Mango Tres Leches...did not try these..but the mexican flan makes me to go for it the next time. Overall - good food with quality time and nice decor. Our waitress Jason was amazing and we loved the service. Muy bien, Gracias!

I've been to this restaurant twice in the past 2 weeks for happy hour (one of which was for Cinco de May). I wish the happy hour went to 7 as I don't normally get back to the area until 5, but it's a great place to grab a quick bite and a drink before heading somewhere else for the night . The HH menu is pretty extensive and good. They have a bunch of small plates listed for 1/2 price and imported drafts are only $3. I will say though that if I had to pay full price for the small plates, I would be disappointed. The portions are very small and would be pricey if not for the 1/2 price deal. The Ahi Tuna tacos are delicious, as is the queso. I highly recommend both of them above anything else on the small plate menu. I haven't had any entrees here yet, but they seemed overpriced as well. I have a hard time paying $25-$30 for mexican food when I know the ingredients are kind of cheap. I'd rather just go to Plaza Azteca and get a burrito for 10 bucks. I will say though that considering we went on one of the busiest days for a Mexican Restaurant (Cinco de Mayo) and got continuous service, I was very impressed.

The food has been consistently good here and I really enjoyed the tomato based, chicken tortilla soup. It was different then other chain restaurant soups for sure and the "cup" was a huge bowl. The service was very friendly and attentive as well. I have said before the ahi tuna tacos are so delicious... And they remain so. This time around they were actually a little bit bigger than before and I was incredibly satisfied with them as an entrée as I add an extra taco to the dish. With free refills of soda and delicious chips and two kinds of house made salsa you can't go wrong.

Stopped in for lunch recently with my girlfriend when we were on our day off. The staff was friendly and seated us right away. We ordered some margaritas that were o.k. and continued to look at the menu. I would up getting the chicken tacos. When they arrived they looked great. Sliced avocado, grilled chicken, pico de gallo and a little cheese. Unfortunately they were incredibly bland. So were the beans and rice. Honestly this was the strangest experience I've ever had at a mexican restaurant. How can you make bland mexican food? Nothing tasted bad, but it was like the chefs had exercise in trying to remove any flavor from the food. It was really disappointing. The other thing that was strange was that we were the only people in the restaurant and when another table came in they seated them directly next to us. I don't really mind but come on, when you have a completely open dining space you should give the customers some room. I will say that the salsa was actually pretty good, as a matter of fact it was the best part of the meal.

Went here for dinner after a movie to use up a gift card. Service was slow even though there was hardly anyone there. I ordered a fish entree and the bf ordered some tacos. My fish wasn't fully cooked, the asparagus looked sickly, and the rice was bland. The tacos weren't great and definitely weren't worth the price. I am in no way a picky eater and I typically don't look a gift horse in the mouth but we had money left on the gift card and just left it because we were so disappointed in the food and knew we would never come back.

We went here on a whim last night because we were craving Mexican and I had been wanting to try this place since it opened 6 months ago. I was surprised to find it fairly empty for a Friday night at 8pm. It definitely did not effect my overall experience- just an observation. We ordered house margaritas and they were very good, surprisingly. You never know what to expect when you order "house" anything. I don't regularly order margaritas, so I was very pleased. Our meal consisted of Camarones Escondidos and chicken fajitas. Both were very well prepared and delicious. The Camarones dish was a split grilled chicken breast stuffed with shrimp, topped with sauteed spinach and a subtly spicy chipotle wine sauce, with a side of lime-infused rice. Our server was very attentive and knowledgable about the menu. She had accidentally knocked over a basically empty drink and gave us a full one at no charge, which was unexpected and very nice of her. As a resident of King of Prussia, it is very nice to have a more upscale Mexican establishment in town. It is extremely clean and very chic- I will return and do hope that many of you check it out as well.

After a good evening of shopping and having my ear talked off by the apple store guy we stopped in for a late dinner. This Mexican restaurant is in the King of Prussia Mall. The food is on par with what I expect from KOP chain type restaurants. We had the fish tacos and the sea bass. The fish tacos were on corn tortillas which is better than flour. The tacos came with frijoles and rice. They have a selection of Mexican beers and the margarita was good. We did order the guac prepared at the table. The taste was very fresh. I would only say it is really not entertaining however the freshness of the guac is great and having it prepared right here made a difference. If I am at the mall and hungry for Mexican 'style' food I would stop here again.

My friend invited me to happy hour and I thought it was great! The chips and salsa are great. I like the 2 types of salsa that you are given. I ordered the chicken tacos and my friend ordered the fish tacos. They were excellent. The ingredients were fresh and portion size was good. Returned the following week and had the chicken quesadillas a well as the tableside guacamole. It was very good! I will return again. Prices are very fair for an upscale mexican restaurant.

Met a group of old happy hour friends a designated location. Its in the Court, right next to California Pizza Kitchen. Our reservation was for 6, I got there at 5.15. Good amount of people at the bar. lots of open tables as it was early. Great Happy hour specials. $2 Dom Beers, $3 imports. I waited for my #fashlate friends and they still gave ME plenty of chips and salsa. Dinner and specials menu was good. Guac at the table was excellent. food came fast. Waiter extremely helpful, and let my friend make substitutions even thought they prefer against it.

If you want decent Mexican food than this is your place. I have never been disappointed when eating here. **The atmosphere is good for a lunch break or a business meeting. This does not have a popping vibe to it, very mellow and bare.**

Had a great experience at Cantina Laredo at King of Prussia mall. Orlando was our server. He was very personable and provided great app and entree recommendations. The Torta Carnita on the ciabata with the egg was amazing. We will definitely be back in the future.

I've been here once. I like the ambience of the place and service is pretty excellent as well. But the food is mediocre at the best. It's just OK !! I've had really great Mexican food for way cheaper prices. This place didn't justify the prices on the menu.. $16 for flavor less grilled chicken with vegetables and sour cream :O Not worth it ! Si !!

So glad this place opened. It is a chain, so I judge it as that. It is in the King of Prussia mall, but it has its own entrance on the second level of the Court side, so convenient and close parking available. Best Mexican chain that I have found in the area. Good margaritas. Excellent table side guacamole. 2 kinds of salsa, each good. Love the chips, arrived hot each time, not too thin, not too thick, not too salty, just right! I really like the re-fried beans. Love the chicken enchiladas. All of us enjoyed everything we have ordered. They have many different types of sauces, which were all tasty on the various items. Good quality and fresh ingredients. Super tasty apple pie desert on a hot plate with awesome caramel sauce poured on and bubbling hot. Comfy booths. Service was attentive and prompt. Overall terrific!

Our waitress was very nice and tried hard to please - not her fault that the food was tasteless. I'm not sure how a restaurant can mess up tableside guac - but even that was tasteless. Here are the high and low lights: The Bad- - food was tasteless. Even the jalapeños were tasteless and not spicy at all. The only thing that saved the food was a bottle of hot sauce. - salsas were strange and salty - service slow - we all ordered margaritas on the waitresses recommendation - watered down and nothing special. - we all ordered different entrees and none were outstanding - queso came out with a layer of film on it because it was cold and sitting for two long - portions are small for price The OK- -Chips were thin and fresh but they gave our large table one small bowl. - the rice was tasty - the desserts were good and the coffee was as well. However I can get good dessert, chips, rice and coffee for less than $200. It was so flavorless we were longingly gazing at the California Pizza Kitchen wishing we had gone there instead. I would not give this place a second try even if someone offered to pay.

Decent Mexican food with 2 kinds of salsa to start. They put a bowl with a lemon and an avocado enticing you to order the guacamole - nice gimmick. My enchilada mole had sesame seeds sprinkled on top which I really liked. My husband had the fish taco which was good too. Only complaints their rice accompaniment - artificial Uncle Ben flavor was not appealing at all. Service was attentive even if he was trying too hard to oversell. I did t have any alcohol so can't judge how good they are.

What a disappointing experience. The only good things I can say: the salsas were good, and the staff is friendly. The ahi tuna tacos are raw, which is fine for some, but at least mention it on the menu. The prime rib tacos had good flavor but were super fatty. The enchiladas veracruz were bland and chewy. The margarita was topped off with club soda. I make better ones at home. Our water glasses remained perpetually empty. Even when they refilled our chips, we never got more water. Next time I want Mexican food at the KOP Mall, I'll hit up the Taco Bell.

Vegetarians Run Away At Full Speed!!! Obviously if you have read any of my other posts, you know I am NOT a vegetarian... But my wife is. She enjoys Mexican restaraunt a because they can normally serve up a pretty decent plate of rice and beans. She was excited to try this new spot... We ordered their Margarita's. Frozen. We were just going to get a couple of beers, but the site of the big baskets full of fresh limes signaled the possibility of a good Margarita. Not. Nastiness. My wife ordered the cheese and onion enchiladas. As she ordered, she made it quite clear that she was vegetarian, and the waitress quite clearly acknowledged her request and insisted that they could handle the order. A few bites in, and she was pretty disgusted to find her enchilada was slathered in ground beef sauce. When she pointed this out to the waitress, the waitress insisted that red pepper flakes. Not. So the manager/proprietor (Mark) visits the table and now is when things get really interesting. He acknowledges that the plate is... In fact, full of beef. With sort of an obnoxious cynical comment, he then informs my wife that the beans are cooked in lard. He said this in a way that suggested that no matter what he did, he still got some meat over on her, and he was quite amused by it. He graciously removed the cost of her dish from the bill. Big deal buddy. For someone who hasn't had any meat in her diet for years, the whole thing disgusted her. The fact that he was somewhat amused by her disgust.... Well, that's why you get to read this awesome post. If you like mediocre mall food wrapped in a Mexican package, this place is just fine. If you are a vegetarian or looking for something of half decent quality, run from this place and get a glass of water. A few other places you might want to avoid: Consolidated Restaurant Operations: Cantina Laredo, III Forks Steakhouse, Cool River Cafe, Silver Fox Steakhouse, El Chico, Good Eats and Luckys Café. We serve more than 14 millio

The food and the service this past Saturday were fantastic - Jonathan knew his stuff, had great recommendations, and was very patient with us as we dealt with a fussy baby. Why was the baby fussy? Because what was supposed to be a 30 minute wait turned into over a 90 minute wait that put our being seated at past 7:30pm. The three girls at the hostess stand apparently had no clue how to appropriately seat diners and two of the restaurant's managers were there at any given point in time to help them get people to tables. Not only did they grossly underestimate the wait time due to over reserving tables, but they didn't even bother to ask us if a booth was an acceptable table for the three of us until I approached them for the fourth time to see how much longer the wait was as I was giving the baby a bottle. Only then did they jump into action to help us. While the hostess team was disappointing - to put it nicely - it won't stop us from coming back, but we'll be sure to make a reservation next time. 0 stars for the hostess team 5 stars for the food 5+ stars for our server

Really poor service We went there for dinner tonight and it was a mistake. We sat down and the waiter didn't come to our table for 20 mins. We decided to get the "top shelve guacamole" which was overpriced and had no chips to eat it with. We asked the waiter twice to bring us some which he said it was coming. Then they served us our food and one of the dishes was wrong which the served replied rudely "this is all I have". The last straw was they forget our dessert after serving the coffee and ended up canceling. Food was decent but not worth suffering through the service!

I ate here with three other people, and the experience was a little strange. First, two of us ordered the Camaron Poblano Asada on our waitress's recommendation. We quickly realized when the dish arrived that she had clearly recommended it not because it was her favorite dish, but because it was the most expensive thing on the menu. The dish was extremely salty and greasy. There was enough olive oil running over the plate to cook and entire other meal in. There was another major issue that will cause me to not return--at one point the waitress asked one of the guys at our table if he wanted a refill on his beer. He said sure. When she returned, she brought refills for all of us (two margaritas and a sangria--well over $30 of drinks) and insisted that our friend had authorized it. I watched it happen--he only said he'd have another beer. And since when does one person speak for the whole table? She was a bit pushy, insisting that we should take the drinks. At one point she even said "I'm sorry--he said it's okay" and pointed at our friend as she continued to put them down at the table. It was only when two of us absolutely refused on the premise that we were driving home shortly and didn't want to drink and drive that she finally took them back. The fact that we had to argue so much with her about it, though, was weird. Overall, the food was priced too high for the experience and quality. And service needs serious work.

The service was great. Jason certainly has a professional attitude. He recommended several delicious entree. The pork shank was so tender that I almost finished within 10 minutes. Nevertheless the price is above the average.

nothing about this place tastes Mexican and the wait staff is kind but horrible untrained and unknowledgeable. Don't waste your time. California Pizza kitchen across the hall will give you a more Mexican experience.

The food was pretty good. I am glad I asked about the chicken fajita quesadilla because it is just grilled chicken and cheese, so I had to ask to add vegetables. Our waiter was okay. He was training another worker and the trainee seemed more friendly then our waiter.

Not a bad experience. The service is great - the server went out of her way for us, and brought several special requests. The atmosphere is quite cozy, and yet modern and inviting. The food is also well-prepared. The guacamole is freshly-made at your table, and a good deal. Very nice. The dish sizes are not huge, and the prices are not cheap. Wasn't wowed by any of our samplings... none were stand outs. Overall it's not a bad choice, and we will return... just won't rush back.

Cantina Laredo is such a great dining experience! The dining area is open and inviting, and the staff is very friendly. Not to mention the food is FABULOUS! Brian, the Executive Chef, makes sure that all customers have an excellent and personal experience. HIGHLY recommend this place, especially for birthdays/special events!

A fairly new restaurant inside the KOP mall. It's modern mexican food and has a decent list of margaritas. To start off you are given complimentary chips and salsas. The chips and salsas were slightly warm and were really flavorful. Our waiter brought us new chips and salsa to the table without even asking for more. We decided to order the "top shelf guacamole," which is made fresh at your table. It was nice because you were able to pick what you wanted in it - onions, tomatoes, peppers, jalapenos, and cilantro. Unfortunately, it didn't taste that great. I felt as though she put too much lime into it, because that is all you could really taste. As far as dinner, I had the fish tacos. It was grilled mahi mahi with marinated peppers and onions, queso fresco, and a chipotle aioli. Overall, it was good. My boyfriend got the fajitas tres, which was chicken, beef, and bacon wrapped shrimp. He loved the bacon wrapped shrimp! We both felt as though the food was average, nothing too special. Overall, it was a good experience, but it didn't make me want to come rushing back for more.

One star is for the ambience!! Food portions are extremely small & expansive... Board says $1 mimosas for brunch & server said after 3rd mimosa that only 1st one is $1 after that is regular price!!!!! Wow that bad surprise....

Went here for dinner with my family. We started with the pineapple infused margaritas and table side guacamole. The margarita was awesome I highly recommend it the table side guacamole was ok felt like it was missing salt or lime. For our entrees my fiancée had enchiladas it came with rice and refried beans. I ordered the fajita tres it was beef fajitas and shrimp wrapped in bacon when the plate came out it looked huge but when I actually saw it, it was not that big. Under the meat were piles and piles of onions and peppers. I was fooled! Flavor were ok but the small portions aren't worth the price. I'd rather go to uncle julios. Drinks were good though service was good too. If I come back it would only be for the drinks.

Met with a friend for lunch here. We are Mexican food lovers! This place is modern and higher end than some of the local Mexican places. Our waiter was very attentive. We got free chips and salsa to start. The menu had a lot of options! We both had chicken fajitas. Very typical presentation with beans and really good Mexican rice, 3 hot tortillas and chicken on a skillet with veggies. The fajitas were very fresh but not very flavorful however the sides of guacamole and sour cream with an onion tomatoes jalapeño made up for it. My only complaint was the chairs were dirty and because they were black everything showed on them. Otherwise, it was Reasonably priced fresh food, a good selection of drinks, and a great atmosphere! Plenty of parking because it's at the mall.

Visited Cantina Laredo for lunch on Thursday, July 2, and both the service and the meal were outstanding. Our waiter, Jonathan was execellent, professional and pleasant. Our beverage glasses were never empty because he continually and unobtrusively refilled them whenever they got low. He even brought additional chips and salsa without us asking! The food was excellent. We started with the guacamole, which was made table-side. I can do without the table side preparation, but Jonathan did a very nice job of it. I had the beef fajitas, and they were fresh, very tasty, and well-prepared. My dining partner had pork tacos and they, too were well-prepared and very good. Jonathan was quick to bring the check and receipt. He provided outstanding service from the moment we arrived till the end of our lunch. Cantina Laredo might not be as "authentic" as some Mexican food, but we were very pleased with our lunch and we'll definitely be back for more.

Supremely happy with my visit to Cantina Laredo. Similar to the Vegas location I'm accustomed to... Amazing happy hour and tequila selection. Killer margaritas by skilled bartenders, and the absolute best guacamole you can find. It's more than food and drinks, it's always a good time.

I made some reservations for dinner with a friend, as soon as I walked inside the hostess deserted the podium to go seat someone without acknowledging me. I went to seat at the bar for a pre dinner drink. As soon as I sat down the bartender disappeared. I found an empty seat next to two other seats with dirty plates that were left there from the last customer. Ordered a drink special which was a decent frozen margarita. When my friend arrived we went to see the hosted and were seated at a table. A very anxious server soon arrived with menus and asked us if we wanted anything to drink and handed us menus. After about two minutes she came back and asked if we were ready we said we needed time. We ordered some food which arrived very quickly, they got the appetizer order wrong and delivered the appetizers and enters at the same time. I ordered the fish which was very salty, my friend was pretty happy with the food. Overall service needs work, food needs work so I think I'll skip this place next time.

This place tries way too hard. I was expecting an upscale Mexican dining experience, and was disappointed in the quality of food.

Overall positive experience. The decor and enviornment is well done and high- end. The food--portions-- way too small. Service--ok but NO ONE, including the greeter , the waitress, the table staff and the slightly more mature manager, who paced back and forth, ever smiled. It seems like a rather joyless place to work. Expressing some expression of eagerness to please would be great advice well taken.

Came here with a few friends. Took 20 minutes after sitting down to even see the waiter. Then took an additional 15 minutes to get some water. At this point my friend had already passed out. We got the guac made at our table side for an appetizer. The avocados were raw/unripe. We could make better guac ourselves. The entrees were decent, except when my friend asked for more sauce she got rum in a cup. (Not always a bad thing.) 2 stars because the chips were good.

I work in the KOP mall so I've eaten here several times. My fist experiences weren't great. Service was slow and they seems to have a fruit fly issue but they were just opening. They have seemed to get more organized. The food has always been great so I keep going back. The dinner service seems to be much better then the lunchtime service. The margaritas are fresh and addicting! I would recommend almost everything on the menu. If you went here in the opening months it's worth going back for a second try!

I was out for weekend shopping with a couple of friends and we decided to try Cantina Laredo for a late lunch. We were fortunate and did not have to wait to be seated. We also appreciated that, even though our servers were not real personable, they were attentive and we never had to wait long for them to check in with us. We ordered nachos and fajitas which were both okay. The margaritas, however, need some work and I think they were lacking in tequila. Overall, the experience was just okay.

Came for brunch and it was delicious. $1 mimosas or Bloody Mary included. The Bloody Mary was super flavorful and it was a generous pour. The chilaquiles were exceptional, and the plate came with a fresh fruit salad in an edible flour tortilla cup, dusted in cinnamon sugar. Would recommend this place highly!!

Everything is extremely expensive and not very good at all. I wasn't a big fan of their margaritas either. The service is just ok. Although the bartender I had once was very nice. I wouldn't recommend it for food though. 8 chips for nachos for like 13$ is a bit insane

Always a bit skeptical of large chain restaurants but Cantina Laredo was the exception to the rule! Attentive, personal service - Customer Service is obviously a top priority here. No request was ignored and we were fortunate to be served by Ryann, an extremely knowledgeable and attentive server! Chef Bryan Harmon even paid a visit to our table to offer suggestions and to let us know that their customers are their top priority! I recommend the House Margaritas, Empanadas, fresh guacamole and chips, and for the main attraction - the stuffed pablano wrapped in a steak was to die for!

Solid upscale Mexican restaurant in the KOP mall. Everything screams solid about it - food is good, drinks are good, service is good, ambiance is good, prices are a little high. Tableside guacamole is fun.

House margarita lacked flavor, Fish tacos lacked flavor, even the Guacamole was lacking - not sure how a Mexican restaurant can pull that off. Service was slow even though the place was pretty empty. Disappointing experience.

Was very suprised about this place. Wasn't expecting it to be good. A little overprcied but the food was very fresh and tasty. I love the salsas and chips. The chicken mole was very good. The place is very nice inside and the service was pretty good. I'd go back to this place if I'm intl the area again.

    (3)
  • John W.

The food is very good - I had Tres Fajitas, which combines chicken, steak, and bacon wrapped shrimp (which was as good as it sounds!). The meals of the 2 others in my party were also very good. The service was very good. I had ordered a house Margarita on the rocks, and I had to return it - it was that bad. I replaced it with a bottled beer. We didn't order any appetizers, but the cops and salsa were very good, and were replenished promptly. The atmosphere is not great, there is one wall that is basically open to the mall. All in all, ok, not great.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
